Fish.Fudge.Damn

Great Hall. Sitting at the piano with Harry.

Mr C: Hey, do you play the piano.

Me: No, I play the guitar. (gets up then walks away)

WTH??? What was i thinking. Its not often a guy, a cute one may i add, comes up to me and starts a conversation. A monosyllabic word, a stare? haiyo. Dah la i'm not even a good guitarist. Perhaps, tak layak pun to be labelled a guitarist.

ANYHOW. Perhaps Mr C was not even planning to start a conversation. Maybe he saw Harry frowning in frustration as i kept telling him the wrong chords. hence, he felt obliged to save Harry or something.

WELL, Harry and i was abt to leave anyhow. Hence, the awkward reply.

hmm. ape ape je la. i dont even know Mr C's name. Besides, i'll be out of this college in 5 months time.

The Scientist

nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be so hard.
i'll take me back to the start
-The Scientist, Coldplay

Those words pretty sums up my day. so yeah, the much anticipated AS results are out. i am not happy with my results but i am thankful. it could have been worse.

There is still hope to get 3 A's. Although Warwick only asks for 2 A's and Manchester only demands for one, i just figured, since i'll be in my kiasu mood anyway, why not just aim for the highest. after all, i would like to give mom and dad a final present. its not that i've never aced in my exams before, its just that i was never present during the awards ceremony. i was away, debating. ;). sorry mom and dad, perhaps you will get an invitation to attend BNM's scholars' day :D

After much thought, i've decided to give AS history another go. will be joining the block 6 juniors' class. so yeah, i'm taking myself back to the start.

a recap of the AS examinations

current tune:sitting,waiting,wishing- Jack Jhonson
current mood: hard to describe.

anyhow, i sat for the winter exam session last year. in general, the papers were, well, peculiar.
since my results will be out in approx eight hours, i thought a quick recap of the exam would be good.. you know.. to help me prepare for the worse.

lets start with literature in english since it was my second attempt. well, it was harder than the may/june paper. plus, we binned Achebe and did a crash course on Mansfield. owh owh, Wordsworth was horrifying. of all poems they had to ask abt prelude. prelude yang sangat panjang and sangat meleret. i never get it why the critics say that it is one of Wordsworth's best poems. cant the examiners stick to the typical phanteistic poems like solitary reaper or one of the sonnets i.e london 1902 or mutability. argh!!! so yeah, i am not suprise if i have to resit the paper yet again. but i really hope that i dont have to.

the only reason why i took math was because of peer preassure. well, 99.9% of students in this college takes math. the few who does not are normaly, suprise suprise, future lawyers.lol. statistics was digestable thanks to mr indran n aak who patiently thought me the tedious laws of stats. pure was just, erk, sangat susah. if i am not mistaken, i left out 3 questions. i'm targetting a B though. that would suffice to enter King's, if i get an offer from them.

my only consistant subject is economics. i have to admit, conquest is a good teacher. paper 1 was doable. paper 2 fits in the theme of the exams. it was odd. first question, what is the definition of derived demand. i struggled to clearly present my answers. well, i hope that i'll get an A.

and last but never the least, HISTORY. the night before the exam, i puked non stop. god, it was awfull. i really thought that Russian Revolution would salvage my paper but instead of asking abt the Bolshevik revolution which defines that epoch, they asked something abt the tsar's reforms or something along those lines. the source based question was not bad. France was suprisingly sraight forward. owh well, whatever it is, i really hope i dont have to resit this paper. gile nak hafal balik history from 1789-1940's. that is just too much weiyh. examiners, please have mercy on me.

so yeah. till know, i keep questioning myself why i did not take biology instead. woh well, what's done is done. i'm really hoping for the best. my future is at stake.

adios~

16 random facts.

1. I am a COFFEE addict. my body refuse to function if i do not have any caffeine in my system. i drink a minimum of 2 cups a day. however, i always buy premix coffee as i can never get the right ratio of coffee, milk and sugar.

2. I have never consumed a green apple my whole life. okay, perhaps i am exaggerating. well, maybe i've eaten a slice or two in fruit salads but i've never actually purchased any. i even bake apple pies using red apple.

3. since the first two facts are related to food so yeah, you can guess that i enjoy eating. but i like to cook even more. however, i can never cook when my mom is in the kitchen. we always end up arguing and the food would end up tasting awful. poor daddy, kene makan juga ;). sorry dad.

4. i would shisha at every opportunity. my fav flavour is apple strawberry. the best shisha i've tasted is the one in castle cuz they put this pineapple and the charcoal will burn on top of it. it really enhances the taste. the worse shisha experience was in jatinangor (sorry kak nadi, but mmg tak sedap langsung). oh wait, perhaps the one in kelantan is even worse. anyway, dan keeps on telling me that it is even more dangerous than smoking. owh well, at least we're even. i hate the fact that he smokes and he hates the fact that i like to shisha.

5. my watches are one of the items that i treasure most. although i do not own many, but i think that my watches are unique. the latest addition to my collection is a woden strap fossil. if i am not mistaken, it's a limited edition. :D

6. although i own my own camera, i dislike being in front of the lenses. i guess this is the result of having a father who takes photogrphy seriously. my fav field of photography is macro and close ups. i like to capture the fine details which many never notices.

7. i own a lot of weird soft toys. i have an orang utan, a snake, a kangaroo, a black cat , a witch and the list goes on. they occupy half of my bed, both at home and in college.

8. i like to name things. some say that i give em really weird names. for example, i call my orang utan buboo and my black cat shytan (pronounced shaitan).

9. a lot of people labels me as a feminist. but i dont think i am.

10. i love the number 10. why? entah lah. i just like it.

11. i love to wear skirts. i just feel uncomfortable wearing trousers. unfortunately, i don't own many as the skirts sold in malaysia are normally over-priced. imagine, 200 ef-fing ringgit for a skirt. gler la. i purchase most of my skirts abroad. my fav is a denim skirt which i bought in Turkey :)

12. jangan terkejut, but many are not aware of this fact. i am the youngest in my family. yes people, i am. perhaps i don't look or act like a typical baby sister as my sisters and i are only a year a part. (mom was a baby factory ;D)

13. among my close family members, i am known as the miracle baby for two reasons. firstly, dad suffered from a stroke a few months before kak nadi was born in august 88. but, walah! they got me in oct 89. so yeah, do the math people. i think u can figure it out ;). secondly, mom fell into a coma after giving birth to me. the doc said that i was too big. but both mom n dad recovered and i cant help but to think that i was a motivation for them to get better :D.

14. i have super curly hair. during my preteen years, i kinda blamed my mom for the condition of my hair. its always super big and super wild. kak mili and kak nadi really like to make fun of my hair :(. but now i realise that there is nothing much mom can do about it. besides, i was the only child with curly hair so she does not have any experience to look after it. I am grateful that i have succeded is taming down my hair with the help of loads and loads of serum. lol. dad really loves my curls. once when i was cooking, he said, carefull teddy bear, don't burn your hair ;)

15. there are two things that i cant live without. my guitar, rory and my ipod. dad gave me the ipod for my 18th birthday and i purchased rory in the same year. 2008 was a really tough year.i was heart broken (and i have not fully recovered ), plus the sudden change of my future plans and such really erm..bugged me. music helps me to cope with life.

16. my room in college is decorated with hello kitty curtains and bed cover and pillow case. mom bought it for me. i think she is not aware that the "cute white cat, as she calls it" is an icon associated with little girls. owh well, it does brighten up my room and creates a warm yet cheerful atmosphere. it somehow reminds me of my mother's love ;). i am her 'teddy bear' after all. to compliment the hello kitty items, i bought myself a PPG blanket :D wee~
